In this case Val, the Search Coordinator’s team handled the event as teams came into their major SAREX. The access/authority needs to be discussed. Perhaps an Member Organization’s Exec could issue the release in inter-MO level events or Zone Commanders in inter-Zone events–a good question!

CMS Inputting: Multi-Org Events
Selection/inputting of crew members from other Zones/Provinces. How will this be handled? Who will have access/authority?

Ground Support Crew: Radio Operator should also be included.
This form looks good. It needs a column to place individual CMS numbers on the form in the tasking section. also needs an extra line for a 3rd and 4th spotter as there are 6 seater A/C used.

Yes, an automated CMS number generated on the form would help.
Good Day
Flow chart shows natural member entry point and exit point (Form 101 and Form 114.) Essentially the time card idea around since the dawn of the industrial revolution’s first factory. CASARA duplicated template would serve as a training aid to assist members with from 101 first copy existing codes and second copy proposed new codes which recognize the many duties our members volunteer to perform.
Form 114 needs new column at bottom for Volunteer Hours and Duties hand written for time being. Assuming a claim is made. If for example lunch is provided no claim made “Volunteer Credit Only” copy included with the batch going to CMS person saves everyone time. We must be mindful of reducing time/work load.I’m new to this blog haven’t figured out how to post attachments perhaps Kevin can help with attachments.

Check Keith Bennett’s comprehensive list of possible options for a pull-down list in INTRO TO GENERAL INPUT IMPROVEMENTS Clarence. You could add your own suggestions. Again, the scope of the list remains the ultimate question.
Volunteer hours could be automatically generated by the event summary form or de-brief form. This could cover the current volunteer entities–but again, what about the radio operator? Everybody that contributes to the event should be recorded–there is no reason to exclude participation.
Good Day
The current list for training purposes corresponds to list on Activity Report (sheet 1.) Would like to see next generation list more inclusive of actual duties performed at Sarex or SAR which is on proposed list ( sheet 2) tweeked to use same terms as Keith’s list you referenced. Recognition of volunteers by articulating their duties is a good thing. Admittedly a long list one letter short of full alphabet (Z.) However it is what it is. We are attracted to CASARA because it isn’t a mickey mouse organization. To build member ownership in CMS would introduce sheet 1 now as paper template placed next to Form 101 on the table. This is a step in reducing the work load on zone commanders/search coordinators/CMS clerks a desired training goal. Sheet 2 may come some time in the future. Kevin will send sheet 1 via email please post to this list.
